I am getting the error 'administrator tool for Win32 has stopped working' every time I start up Windows Vista. As the problem started after I had installed XAMPP, I assumed that it had something to do with this installation. It turns out that the administrator tool is the MySql administrator tool which is bundled with XAMPP. The only way I have so far found to stop this error message is to actually stop the administrator tool from starting up (in 'Start|All Programs|Startup'). Not a perfect solution as I would like to at least see what it does and how it works, but it will have to do for now. The XAMPP installation is working fine without it. If I find a better solution to the problem I'll post it here.
